Free Art & Music Classes.
Studio Del Creador is one of the first places of its kind. Since 2009 we have presented Jesus to countless lives by offering the community of Tecate, Mexico FREE art & music classes in our creative community center and church. We collaborate with local artists and volunteers to create a beautiful safe space for all ages to come together and experience the love of God through mutually transforming relationships.
We work hard to provide over 40 FREE classes a week with options appropriate for small children, teens and adults.
We create passionately.
There's no doubt that creativity reduces stress & anxiety and calms a troubled spirit. Exercising the imagination also improves self expression, problem solving, and processing hard feelings. We believe that as image-bearers of God The Creator, we have the ability to connect to Him through creating which in turn brings true transformation.
We love radically.
Love transforms. In a world full of hurt, hatred and suffering, we believe that love ushers the transforming power of God and that with the power of the Holy Spirit active in our lives, we can be a reflection of Jesus' unconditional love.
And Jesus transforms.
No matter how hard we work, we cannot change lives or circumstances. Only Jesus can do that. We serve in cooperation with the move of God with the Holy Spirit through prayer, service, and commitment, while believing for the fruit of transformation in our community. We believe God still does miracles and is the author of all lasting transformation.

How it all started.
God placed the vision of Studio Del Creador on the heart of our founder Natalie Nicholson when she was just seventeen years old. She was on a journey of discovery with God as she sought a way to use art to lead people to Jesus. It was through a dream she had one night in the year 2000 that the idea of Studio Del Creador was planted in her heart. Upon graduating from the University of Washington in 2006, she moved to Tijuana Mexico to serve at an orphanage, where for four years she gained many life forming experiences, learned Spanish and fell in love with the people and culture of Mexico. Taking a great step of faith, Natalie believed in the impossible and by the grace of God, Studio Del Creador became a reality and opened it's doors to the public on January 24th of 2009. |
