Only an hour and a half away from the San Diego Airport, we are located in the middle of high desert right on the south side of the U.S./Mexico International border.

We love missions!

We love to serve our community hand-in-hand with like-hearted people and believe that missions still has a place in God's heart even in modern-day society. A short-term missions trip changed the life of our founder Natalie Nicholson and paved the way for her to begin Studio Del Creador in 2009.

Plug into what we are doing.

Teach & equip

Immerse yourself in our vibrant community and share your knowledge and expertise. Teach one-time workshops on art, music, crafts, cooking, dance or whatever your imagination comes up with! Pour into our entrepreneurs with business or financial advice. Or teach biblically based classes to community parents, our team or church.

Go to camp with us

Once a year we host a family camp for our church community. Make camp unforgettable by serving our families and giving them a break. Help with set-up, cooking, cleaning and preparing fun activities like games and rallys. Entertain and care for the smaller children so their parents can have some time in the pools.

Create an experience

Come for a week or weekend to host a special event or conference. Teach our littles VBS, give a week-long creative course, teach a conference on subjects like leadership, entrepreneurship, or host a cultural exchange program to learn about each other's traditions and customs.

Answering your questions about visiting.

Room & Board.

• Make arrangements to stay with our good friends at Rancho La Paloma. They have years of experience hosting groups doing local and short term missions. They also provide meal packages.
• Rent a local home.  Contact Natalie for recommendations.

Food.

• We do not have a kitchen in our facilities. 
• We can hire local friends to prepare traditional Mexican plates for you during your stay. ($10/meal per person).
• There are plenty of great Taco stands and good places to explore Mexican cuisine in Tecate! 

Travel.

• Drive down in your own vehicle or rent from San Diego for international use. **Make sure your vehicle is insured in Mexico**
• We can arrange to meet you at the USA-Mexico International Border Crossing to show you your way around to our location and where you will be staying.

Language.

• Many people in our community speak English as a second language.
• We are happy to provide a translator for your Studio Del Creador participation and activities.

Documents.

• Make sure to bring a validate photo I.D. and passport.
• It is necessary to purchase a travel visa when entering Mexico (about $40).
